Designed as a natural running shoe, the Asics 33 DFA offers the lowest heel-to-toe offset in the entire 33 series (4mm) for greater freedom and a more natural underfoot feel. UPPER The upper part of the shoe is constructed from open mesh, providing breathable coverage. This means the foot stays dry and comfortable throughout, allowing you to concentrate on performance. Coupled with a seamless construction, it allows sock free wear without irritation or discomfort. Natural 33 Last mimics the shape of the foot, providing a secure heel fit with a wide toe box to allow freedom of movement. The Asics 33 DFA also features California Slip Lasting which helps to increase the stability and comfort within the shoe by stitching the upper around a canvas and directly attaching it to the midsole. Another great feature is the sockliner, which is able to mould to the shape of your foot for a snug and supportive fit, with the added benefit of being removable to accommodate a medical orthotic if necessary. MIDSOLE These shoes allow you to feel so much more through your feet and lower legs, helping you to find your most natural running style and allow for a more efficient run. This is achievable thanks to the ultra-thin, low-to-the-ground midsole and 4mm heel drop. The midsole is made from Solyte Material, which is more lightweight than the usual ASICS EVA and spEVA compound enhancing the level of cushioning and durability. OUTSOLE Anatomically correct deep flex grooves have been aligned to the joints of the foot within this 33-DFA Shoe. This innovative construction enables the shoe to recognise, adapt, and respond to the athlete’s exact load and positional change from first impact to toe-off. The shoe’s outsole is made from a solid AHAR+ (Asics High Abrasion Resistant) rubber, which enhances durability and traction, as well as providing cushioning to allow a more comfortable ride to the foot.
